Champlin Park Football Advances to Prep Bowl
The Champlin Park football team advanced to its third Prep Bowl in program history.
The Rebels beat defending champion Lakeville North 31-21 in the class AAAAAA semifinals.
Champlin Park hit on several big-strike passing plays to build a 21-0 lead in the first half.
The Panthers battled back to within 21-14 in the second half on two touchdown runs by quarterback Raja Nelson.
Champlin Park struggled offensively in the second half but got a field goal by Noah Vogelpohl to go up 24-14.
Quarterback Jaice Miller added his second touchdown run of the night to help seal the win.
The Rebels meet the Wayzata-Lakeville South winner in the Prep Bowl Friday November 29th.
