Champlin Park Baseball Wins Late Over Armstrong, 3-2
The Champlin Park baseball team earned its first win of the season with a 3-2 victory on the road at Armstrong.
The Rebels scored twice in the first inning, first off a wild pitch where Chase Oxborough crossed home plate and then an RBI single from Max Janisch.
Armstrong got on the board in the bottom of the fourth when AJ Kuebelbeck hit an RBI double to right-center field and Dayton Franke, who led-off the inning with a triple, scored from third.
Then in the fifth, Dawson Franke hit an RBI single to tie the game at two.
Champlin Park loaded the bases in the top of the seventh and Janisch was hit by a pitch to give the Rebels a 3-2 lead.
With a runner on first in the bottom of the seventh, Nicklaus Carlson ended the game with a strikeout to give the Rebels their first win of the season.
