Champlin Park Baseball Puts Up 15 Runs, Upsets Andover in AAAA State Quarterfinals
An hour and a half rain delay didn’t slow down Champlin Park baseball, as the Rebels rattled off 15 runs in an upset state quarterfinal win over Andover.
Champlin Park totaled 13 hits in the 15-2 five inning win, including six runs scored in the third inning.
Nick Carlson went 3-for-4 on the day with two doubles, a single, and two RBI’s.
Kellan Oligmueller had a game-high four RBI’s for the Rebels while Caleb Greer added three RBI’s.
Evan Nordby earned the win on the mound, registering three strikeouts and allowing six hits in 4.2 innings pitched.
The Rebels will now face Minnetonka in the Class AAAA semifinals on Thursday.
