Champlin Park Baseball Eliminated from Section 5AAAA Tournament
The Champlin Park baseball team built an early lead but was eliminated from the Section 5AAAA tournament in a 15-5 loss to Mounds View.
The Rebels defeated Totino-Grace earlier in the day to set up the matchup with Mounds View.
Champlin Park scored four runs in the bottom of the second to go up 4-0 over Mounds View.
Down 4-1 after four, the Mustangs erupted for ten runs in the top of the fifth.
They added four more in the seventh to remove any doubt in the win.
Mounds View advances to face Maple Grove in the section championship round Wednesday.
Maple Grove needs one win to advance to state; Mounds View needs to sweep a doubleheader.
