Big 4th Quarter Leads Benilde-St. Margaret’s Boys Lacrosse to Section Semifinal Win Over Maple Grove
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys lacrosse team outscored Maple Grove 5-0 in the fourth quarter and came out on top in the Section 5 semifinal, 12-5.
The Crimson held their own in the first half, playing solid defense and being opportunistic on offense.
Thor Soukup’s goal early in the second quarter gave the Crimson their first and only lead of the game.
The Red Knights limited Maple Grove to one goal in the second half.
Gus Bell led the way in scoring for BSM, netting five goals on the night.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s will face off against Wayzata in the section final on Wednesday.
Maple Grove finishes the season with an 11-4 record.
