Wayzata Boys Lacrosse Rallies vs. Maple Grove in Section 5 Semifinal
The Wayzata boys lacrosse team rattled off five consecutive goals to erase a 5-3 deficit and defeat Maple Grove 9-7 in the Section 5 semifinals.
Once the Crimson got up by two goals early in the second quarter, Wayzata went on a 6-2 scoring run to close out the game.
The Trojans were led in scoring by Cullen Britz,who totaled four points while Bennett Brown added three goals.
Maple Grove’s Ricky Peterson scored a game-high six points.
The Crimson finish their season with a 5-10 record.
Wayzata (12-3) will face Benilde-St. Margaret’s (12-3) in the section final on Thursday.
