Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls Basketball Returns to Class AAA Title Game
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls basketball team built a big early lead and never looked back on the way to a 73-42 win over Stewartville in the state class AAA semifinals Thursday afternoon.
The game was a rematch of last year’s championship game, which Benilde won. The Red Knights jumped out to leads of 17-3 and 25-5 and never really let the Tigers back into the game.
Olivia Olson had 32 points and Zahara Bishop 18 to lead the BSM attack.
Benilde plays DeLaSalle in the class AAA final Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Williams Arena.
