Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls Basketball Advances to AAA Final
Two-time defending champion Benilde-St. Margaret’s advanced to the class AAA final at the state girls basketball tournament with a 60-52 win over Alexandria in the semifinals.
The Red Knights led from the start, and were up 34-20 at halftime. They built the lead to as much as 18 before Alexandria made a late push to make it interesting.
Sydney Friedly had 20 points to lead BSM, hitting 5-of-7 three-pointers in the game.
The Red Knights will face Marshall for the AAA championship Saturday.
