Benilde-St. Margaret’s Tops Maple Grove in Section 5 Boys Lacrosse Final
Two-time defending state boys’ lacrosse champion Benilde-St. Margaret’s got a scare from second-seeded Maple Grove but prevailed 13-10 in the Section 5 final.
The Crimson scored first before B-SM scored the next three goals to take the lead for good in the first quarter.
Maple Grove scored four straight goals in the second half to pull within 11-10 before the Red Knights finished the game scoring the last two goals.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s (16-0) opens state tournament play next Tuesday.
Maple Grove finishes the season with a 14-2 record.
