Benilde-St. Margaret’s Boys Lacrosse Wins 7th Straight Section Title
The Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys lacrosse team beat Wayzata 11-6 Wednesday in the Section 5 championship game to win the 10th section title in program history and seventh in a row.
Gus Bell led the Red Knights (15-1), netting four goals and three assists. Sky Rold scored three goals for BSM.
Trailing 4-1 after one quarter, the Trojans (14-2) pulled to within a goal at halftime, down just 6-5.
But the Red Knights outscored the Trojans 5-1 in the second half to win the title.
The state boys’ lacrosse tournament begins Tuesday at Eden Prairie High School.
