Two-Vehicle Collision in Crystal Hospitalizes Four
Crystal police continue to investigate a two-vehicle crash that injured four people, including one person who suffered life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened at about 5 a.m. on the 4500 block of Douglas Drive. Four people involved were taken to the hospital, police said. First responders performed life-saving measures on a 48-year-old man, who Crystal police indicated was the driver.
“Last I heard, the driver was in good condition,” said Crystal Deputy Chief Brian Hubbard.
The other three injured are reported in fair condition.
While the investigation continues, a Crystal police press release stated, “Early indicators suggest that distraction may have been a factor in this crash.”
Hubbard said the final determination of cause likely won’t happen for some time.
“We’re waiting for an accident reconstruction from the Minnesota State Patrol and the collection of some additional evidence,” said Hubbard.
Those with any information about this incident are urged to call the Crystal Police Department at 763-531-1014.
