Two Injured in Robbinsdale Park Shooting, No Arrests Made
Two people were severely injured after a shooting at Robbinsdale’s Sanborn Park on Sunday night.
As of Monday afternoon, no arrests had been made.
Police said Sanborn Park is in a typically quiet neighborhood. It did not look that way Sunday night.
According to a news release, police say officers heard gunshots and neighbors called 911 reporting a shooting in the park. Officers then found a 19-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her head. She was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital with “grave injuries.”

Later that night, officers were told that a man in his 20s showed up to Methodist Hospital with a gunshot wound that occurred in Robbinsdale. No other victims were found and witnesses were reluctant to talk, police said.
Brent, a neighbor who CCX News spoke with off-camera on Monday, heard the gunshots from a few blocks away. He said he drove over to see what happened, as he thought the sound was fireworks. By then, he said the scene had mostly cleared, save for a victim and first responders.
On Monday, the neighbor said he counted 150 evidence markers throughout the park.
The park is open to the public today.

Spray paint markers are left at the scene of the Sunday night shooting. The park was quiet Monday, with bikers and walkers going about their day.
