Summit Orthopedics To Build at Plymouth Prudential Site
One of the first projects to take place at the former Prudential campus in Plymouth will be a new facility for Summit Orthopedics.
Headquartered in Woodbury, Summit Orthopedics provides comprehensive orthopedic care. Summit is planning an 80,000-square-foot, two-story facility at the Prudential site, located at Interstate 494 and Bass Lake Road.
The facility will offer a range of services, including outpatient surgery, orthopedic urgent care, imaging services and physical therapy. Summit plans to begin construction on the new facility this summer.
As CCX News previously reported, the Prudential site is slated for large-scale redevelopment. Other plans include as many as 1,000 apartment units for a range of living types, including senior living, market rate and affordable housing. A grocery store has also been mentioned for the site.
A grand vision for the property includes transforming the 75-acre campus into a development similar to Centennial Lakes in Edina.
Indianapolis-based Scannell Properties and Minnetonka-based construction firm Roers Cos. are the development team behind the project.
