Final Weekend for Elm Creek Snow Tubing Hill
This is the last weekend to go tubing at the Winter Recreation Area at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove.
Three Rivers Park District officials expect this weekend to be busy, even as temps warm up.
“It’s one of those times of year, where sometimes we’ll see kids having so much fun,” said Austin Lane, facility supervisor with the Three Rivers Park District. “They’re in just long sleeve shirts, they’re taking off those jackets, they’re having a ton of fun.”
The tubing hill is 10 stories tall. A moving sidewalk helps get you back to the top with minimal effort.
“Tubing is one of my favorite things, because gravity does all the work for me,” said Lane. “It’s really great and fun for people of all ages.”
Three Rivers recommends reserving tubing time slots in advance before heading out to the hill.
As for other winter activities, the terrain park and cross country ski trails will stay open longer. Trail conditions can be accessed here.
