Bridging Opens New Plymouth Location for Furniture Donations
A Minnesota nonprofit that helps people get on their feet is expanding with a new warehouse in the northwest metro.
Bridging takes in furniture donations and gives them to those who need it most. Now, the group is taking donations in Plymouth.
Right now, the new building is a mostly empty warehouse. But Diana Dalson of Bridging said they don’t want it to look that way forever — they want it to be full.
“We need to fill these racks and the warehouse, and get this filled up so we can bring it to the locations we shop in. So we need the stuff!” Dalson exclaimed.
The nonprofit also has locations in Bloomington and Roseville. Bridging opened the Plymouth warehouse this week to get closer to many of its donors. It helps furnish 120 households a week, so the fuller the warehouse is, the better.

Bridging’s new warehouse in Plymouth is ready to accept donations.
Bridging said it takes gently used or new furniture, as well as household items, small appliances and electronics. Everything makes a difference — even small items like hangers.
“The basic essentials are everything you need and touch in your home. So from your kitchen items, bedroom items, bathrooms. The things that also give you comfort so you can thrive in your home, and also be empowered to tackle the next day,” Dalson said.
The Plymouth Bridging warehouse is open for item donation at its new site on 12864, Highway 55, in Plymouth. People can drop by any time between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
A full list of what Bridging accepts can be found on its website. If you need help, or would like to volunteer with the nonprofit, more details are on its website as well.
