Shop Local, Buy Local at Maple Grove’s Plaid Market

If you’re starting your holiday shopping, there’s one stop you may want to make in Maple Grove. More than 30 Minnesota Makers and Omni Brewing are back together again this year for the Plaid Market at the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes.

Tia Scott is the Owner at Fox Run and is putting together the event.

“Plaid Market started three years ago with the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes. We decided we wanted to do a makers market,” said Scott. “Everybody who is here at the market is a Minnesota maker. We have things like candles, soap, hand-made jewelry, macrame, and everything in-between.”

The Plaid Market will be held at Fox Run which is located between Pottery Barn and Bath and Body Works.

The market will be around for two weekends, November 26th-27th, and December 3th-4th.

There will be live music, food trucks, and Omni Brewing Co.

“Not only do we have a great market, but we have a lot of interesting things besides the market, like the Omni pop-up tap room, live music and it’s going to be fun and bright and a kick-off to the holiday season with not only great maker products, but we are going to have a great time in general.”

Omni Brewing Co. is once again excited to be part of the fun.

“I would say we’re most excited to be in-touch with our community and be back out in the world,” said Tommie Hollingsworth, events manager at Omni. “To get people to have fun while they are outside shopping, have beer, have wine, and have a good time.”
