PickleX Adds to Pickleball Growth in Plymouth
Pickleball enthusiasts in the northwest suburbs now have a new indoor space to play their favorite game.
A former warehouse near I-494 and Rockford Road in Plymouth is the new home to PickleX, which offers six indoor pickleball courts and a “skinny court” for singles play.
“We are a family-owned pickleball facility, all about engaging with the community, bringing in the community, having a fun place for them to hang out and call their own,” said Leena Khurana, one of the owners of PickleX.
The venue opened in early January on the former site of Group Medical Supply. The ownership team spent about four months transforming the space into a business centered around wellness.

PickleX is an automated facility, meaning people will have to go online to reserve a court. They will then receive a code that allows them to access the building.
There are now several places to play indoor pickleball in the city. That includes the Plymouth Community Center and the newly-opened Pure Pickleball Club. However, Khurana says we haven’t reached the point of oversaturation.
“There is competition, and I think competition is very healthy,” said Khurana. “There is demand for indoor pickleball, and a lot of it. There are other courts that are full, and we are seeing a lot of activity in here as well.”
PickleX also has three event rooms that people can rent for parties or business meetings. In the coming months, they plan to add yoga and Pilates classes for people to enjoy as well.
PickleX is located at 3955 Annapolis Lane in Plymouth.
