Osseo Gun Club Seeks to Expand Hours

The Osseo Gun Club says sometimes they need to expand their hours to stay competitive. So, they requested a permit change from the city of Osseo.

“We have competition in the industry and in order to compete, we need to be open earlier than 9 a.m.,” says Jeanine Gill, president of the Osseo Gun Club.

Gill also told the Osseo Planning Commission that the gun club is sticking to their stated hours, but they do have some groups who would like to come earlier or stay later.

The permit change would give the club the option to change hours as needed.

When the city approved permits for the Osseo Gun Club about five years ago, the city limited the use because of possible noise concerns. Noise hasn’t been an issue, so the commission recommended approval of the change.

The Osseo City Council will have the final say.
