One Person Hospitalized After Brooklyn Park House Fire
The Brooklyn Park Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 7100 block of Kentucky Avenue North around midnight and again shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday.
“A female and two children were inside the home. All were able to escape,” said Todd Seitz, Brooklyn Park deputy fire chief. “They had a working smoke detector and that’s probably what saved them.”
The woman had to be taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and minor burns. The cause is still under investigation, but the house is pretty much a total loss, Seitz said. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
