New Hope Police Investigate Break-In at Café Meow
New Hope police are investigating a burglary at Café Meow.
Police say the business, located in a shopping center in the 3500 block of Winnetka Avenue North, was broken into some time early Saturday morning.
A photo posted on social media by the business shows smashed glass from the front door. New Hope police say they were notified of the break-in at 6 a.m. Saturday.
“Evidence was recovered and is under review and business loss is still being determined,” said Brad Kallio, community relations and crime prevention officer for the New Hope Police Department.

Kallio said he couldn’t comment further on the case nor speak about the man seen on surveillance video at the time of the break-in.
Café Meow has a coffee shop in one area and a “cat lounge” in a separate space. The cat lounge allows visitors to pet cats, all of which are up for adoption and brought in from no-kill shelters. The business opened last year.
