New Hope Approves Improvements for Area Prone to Water Main Breaks
A section of New Hope with a history of water main breaks will soon be getting some much-needed improvements.
This week, the New Hope City Council approved an infrastructure improvement project on the city’s northwest side near Liberty Park.

The yellow dots on the map show where water main breaks have occurred.
The project calls for street improvements, water main replacement, and upgrades to the sanitary and storm sewer systems in the area.
The estimated cost of the project is a little more than $2 million.
Construction would begin in the spring and would be mostly complete by next fall. The city scheduled a public hearing on the issue for Oct. 25.
