Local Auto Repair Shop Offers Free Oil Changes for Those in Need

A Maple Grove auto shop is pledging to give back to local communities this week and next. Christian Brothers Automotive is giving free oil changes and maintenance to those in need. It’s part of the company’s National Service Day.

If you’re struggling financially, you can call the shop to get scheduled. To make sure the business is serving those truly in need, drivers will need a referral from a community leader. The business also partnered with several organizations including Edinbrook Church, TreeHouse Hope and Mobile Hope to identify people in need. 

Initially, National Service Day, which lands on Saturday, was suppose to be a one-day event with kid and family activities. But due to COVID-19, the Maple Grove business decided to offer only free oil changes and maintenance. 

It will be the first year that the Maple Grove business participates in the event. Nelson expects his business to give about 20 to 30 free oil changes during the event.
