Man Armed with Machete Robs Crystal Liquor Store
Crystal police are investigating a pair of robberies that happened over the weekend, including one that involved a unique weapon.
Investigators say that on Sunday afternoon at around 4:30, a slender black male in his thirties walked into ‘Liquor Liquidator’ at 5120 Bass Lake Road. Police say he was holding a machete.
The robber got away with cash, alcohol and cigarettes.
About a day earlier, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, a pair of robbers hit the AT&T store on 36th Avenue just east of Highway 100.
Police say two black males in their 30s brandished a handgun, tied up a store employee, and escaped with roughly $15,000 worth of cell phones.
