Highway 252 Project Public Comment Ends May 26
Residents have until the end of the week to comment on the Highway 252 project.
MnDOT is studying three options: two call for a six-lane freeway, one with bus-only shoulders and another with managed or express lanes. Another option calls for a four-lane freeway, also with bus-only shoulders.
The project has been talked about for the better part of a decade in an attempt to reduce crashes. According to MnDOT, five of the top 100 most dangerous intersections are on Highway 252.
Officials say any large-scale construction would not happen until 2026 at the earliest.
