Expansion of Maple Grove Hospital, Boston Scientific on Tap for 2022
In the first city council meeting of the year, Maple Grove’s elected leaders gave remarks on the “State of the City.”
Projects coming up in 2022 include the expansion of Maple Grove Hospital and the Boston Scientific campus, as well as improvements to Highway 610.
“Hopefully, roads like 610 will finally completed and funded. We as a city council have been working on that for more than 30 years. I think our hope is this year, at last, we might finally have the money to do. We’ll see,” said Mayor Mark Steffenson.
Just this last week, MnDOT announced it would be funding a ramp from westbound Highway 610 to eastbound Interstate 94 in Maple Grove. The project will help improve mobility in that rapidly expanding area.
Council members also mentioned looking forward to upcoming projects like the community center renovations and Gleason Field improvements as well as ongoing volunteer efforts.
