Golden Valley
Golden Valley voters will cast their ballot for two council members in the 2021 election. Loretta Arradondo, Joanie Clausen, Andy Johnson, Denise La Mere-Anderson, Drew Peterson, Gillian Rosenquist, and Orville Christian Satter are all on the ballot. Rosenquist is running for re-election and Clausen is trying to win a seat back on the council, after losing the seat in the previous election. Arradondo has suspended her campaign.
Anoka-Hennepin School District #11
Voters in Minnesota’s largest school district will decide three questions on the ballot. Two are operating levies that are renewals and one is a new levy that would continue mental health and social-emotional resources and academic funding that have currently been provided through a one-time federal grant. Anoka-Hennepin voters in District 3 will choose a representative for the school board on November 2, 2021. District 3 includes Champlin, portions of Dayton and the northwest section of Coon Rapids. Bill Harvey is running for re-election against challenger Kacy Deschene.
Hopkins School District #270
Voters living in the Hopkins School District will elect three people to the school board, out of a field of five candidates. Jen Westmoreland Bouchard, Rachel Hartland, Dave Larson, Jason Ross and Sarah Vaye are all on the ballot.
Wayzata School District #284
Voters living in the Wayzata School District will elect three people to serve on the school board out of a field of 12 candidates. Nick DeVries, Aaron Herzberg, Justin Hibbits, Sarah Johansen, Heidi Kader, Bryan Kubes, Muthu Periakaruppan, Derek Plymate, Daniel Sellers, Erin Shelton, Mariam Siddiqui, and Milind Sohoni.
