Driver Arrested After Striking Cyclist in Brooklyn Park
A juvenile cyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday in Brooklyn Park.
The driver could potentially face criminal charges.
According to Brooklyn Park police, officers were dispatched at approximately 5:33 p.m. on Dec. 27 to a report of a cyclist struck by a vehicle near the intersection of West Broadway and County Road 81.

Brooklyn Park police arrested the driver of a vehicle on Dec. 27 after they allegedly struck a cyclist near West Broadway and County Road 81.
Arriving police found a juvenile with “moderate” injuries, according to a public alert.
The juvenile was transported to a local hospital.
Police arrested the driver of the vehicle.
Brooklyn Park Police Inspector Elliot Faust said the driver has not been criminally charged.
Police are awaiting the results of a blood test before deciding if charges are warranted in the case.
