Crystal City Council Honors Retiring Police Chief
Crystal’s longtime police chief, Stephanie Revering, retires at the end of June. Before stepping down, city leaders honored her.
“The city council, staff and citizens extend their congratulations and best wishes to Chief Revering and her family for many years of health, happiness and success in retirement,” said Crystal Mayor Julie Deshler. “She will be very greatly missed.”
The Crystal City Council recognized Chief Revering during the June 17 meeting.
Revering started with the Crystal Police Department in 1997 as a community service officer. She worked her way through the ranks before becoming chief in 2012.

Revering thanked the council for their years of support.
“You’ve backed us during difficult times, stood with us in moments of uncertainty and made sure we’ve had the tools and policies needed to do our jobs with compassion, integrity and professionalism,” Revering told the council. “As I close this chapter and begin a new one, I do so with immense pride and humility. Thank you for your service to this city and allowing me to play a part in protecting it.”
Revering’s final day will be June 27. Deputy Chief Brian Hubbard will then take over that role.
