Crumbs and Coffee Adds Brazilian Flair to Brooklyn Park Breakfast Spot
In a former Subway restaurant at 85th and Zane, Crumbs and Coffee is adding Brazilian flair to Brooklyn Park’s breakfast scene.
“It’s a mix between Brazilian culture and American breakfast,” said co-owner Marcio Morias.
The restaurant, which serves breakfast and lunch, offers staples like fresh-baked bread, eggs and bacon.
“Right now we do the classic breakfast, eggs benedict, some signature plates, huevos rancheros,” Morias said. “Pancakes, omelettes, like American style here that you can find with a little Brazilian touch and some flavor.”
They also serve sandwiches and sweet treats, like their Brazilian caramel rolls.
“So this is a dulce del leche roll. So it’s kind of like a cinnamon roll. But dulce del leche is another product from Brazil, that you can only find in Brazil,” Morias said.

It brought high marks from customer Jill DuFoe.
“It wasn’t like a typical caramel roll — the sauce was thicker and it was really good,” she said.
The shop also has a small market that specializes in Brazilian food.
“So here’s all products from Brazil you cannot find anywhere in the regular stores,” Morias said. “So we’ve got chocolates, goiabada, hearts of palm.”
It’s a unique offering in the heart of Brooklyn Park.
“There’s not many good places to go for breakfast, many options here in the neighborhood,” said Morias. “I think it’s going to be a very good option for the community around here.”
Even though they’ve only been open for about three weeks, customers say the shop is a welcome addition.
“Definitely didn’t know what to expect but the food was excellent,” said customer Michael Schell. “I’ll definitely be back, first time but I’ll be back.”
The restaurant is open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
