Brooklyn Park Police Investigate Armed Carjacking
Brooklyn Park Armed Carjacking Occurred Early Thursday
Brooklyn Park police are investigating an armed carjacking early Thursday. Police responded to a report of a carjacking at 5:10 a.m. Thursday on the 2500 block of Brookdale Lane North.
Police say two men came up to a victim who had just started a vehicle at that person’s residence. One of the men pointed a gun at the victim, then stole the person’s vehicle.
As we went to air, no arrests have been made. The victim was not hurt.
In an earlier interview with CCX News, Brooklyn Park Deputy Chief Mark Bruley said carjackings are “an opportunity [for criminals] to use transport for free. I think there’s very little consequences in it for them.”
