Robbinsdale’s Whiz Bang Days is July 9-13
The biggest party in Robbinsdale is set for mid-July again this year. Whiz Bang Days is July 9-13.
The schedule of events is packed with fun for all ages. New this year are a kids market and a kids dance on Saturday morning on West Broadway in downtown. The streets will be closed.
“The point is getting everyone out and seeing their neighbors and having a good time. So, a lot of stuff is directed toward downtown, we like to drive people there,” said City of Robbinsdale Recreation Services Manager Matt Bayzk. “We have a real cute downtown that everyone knows about and is happy with, so why not highlight it and make it the focus of the event?”
Bazyk said the softball tournament will be at Lee Park this year, and the car show will once again be at Car-X Tire & Auto.
“It brings everyone together, the whole metro community is aware of it,” said Robbinsdale Ward 2 City Councilmember Jason Greenberg. “Everybody knows about our fireworks and the different events that are going on, so it’s a great way to bring our community together but also connect our community to the larger metro area and have some fun and celebrate Robbinsdale.”
