Robbinsdale Introduces Music in the Park Series
The City of Robbinsdale began its newest public performance series last month with its first Concert in the Park, and it will continue all summer with monthly shows at various parks and feature a wide variety of acts and activities paired with those showcases.

Lost in Deutschland performs at the City of Robbinsdale’s first Concert in the Park at Triangle Park in May.
“I think it just builds a sense of community,” said the city’s community engagement coordinator, Will Cardenas. “It just exposes people to different cultures, different music.”
Cardenas said the city’s recreation staff will also be at the concerts to provide instruction on playing and learning new games with each performance.
“So if you don’t necessarily want to come there for the music, you can come down and play some games and just be in community out there,” said Cardenas. “There’s something for everyone.”
The schedule for the rest of the summer is as follows. All shows are from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- June 18: Intertribal Dance Troupe and racket sports at Manor Park, 3129 Abbott Ave. N.
- July 30: Singkane Lao and flag football at Lakeview Terrace Park, 3769 Crystal Lake Blvd.
- August 27: Somali Museum Dance Troupe and summer backyard games at Lakeview Terrace Park, 3769 Crystal Lake Blvd.
