Osseo’s Mayor’s Minutes: Duane Poppe Talks About Water Data, Police, and Upcoming Events
Mayor Duane Poppe says the city is collecting data on water usage in the city.
“Now that we have new water meters, it’s been a year of data. We realize there needs to be some tweaks to it because it was out pricing the average resident of Osseo,” said Poppe.
Osseo started replacing water meters in 2021.
Osseo is looking for more police officers
Poppe explains that the Osseo Police Department is working on some policy and restructuring with in the department to help retain officers.
“We created a Lieutenant position within our department to allow for some advancement of some officers and that was traditionally some of the issue over time,” said Poppe.
