Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls Basketball Wins Big in Section 6AAA Semifinals
Zahara Bishop scored 19 points to help lead the Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls basketball team to an 87-48 win over Delano in the Section 6AAA semifinals.
Sydney Friedly and Kendall McGee each netted 15 points for the Red Knights while Zaida Jenkins scored 12.
Addie Iversen scored a team-high 11 points for the Tigers, who finished their season 22-6.
The Red Knights (22-6) are the defending state champions in Class AAA and play at top-seeded Orono (25-3) in the section final Thursday.
The Spartans beat the Red Knights twice in the regular season.
