West Lutheran Volleyball Advances to Section Final
The West Lutheran volleyball team overcame a slow start to beat United Christian Academy in the Section 4A semifinals to advance to the section championship match.
The Warriors prevailed 26-24, 25-12, 25-15.
United Christian built a 17-10 lead in the opening set before an 8-0 run helped the Warriors pull out a 26-24 thriller.
The victory is West Lutheran’s 20th of the season.
They will face top seed New Life Academy for the section title Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
West Lutheran is seeking its first trip to the state tournament.
