Wayzata Volleyball Team Set for State Tournament
The Wayzata volleyball team is set for the state Class AAA tournament.
The Trojans are in the tournament for the first time since 2010.
They beat St. Michael-Albertville in three sets to win the Section 5AAA title.
Wayzata is the number two seed for the state tournament and they face Elk River in the quarterfinals.
That match is Thursday morning at 11:00 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
It’s the seventh state tournament appearance for Wayzata.
