Wayzata Girls Tennis Team Falls in Consolation Play
The Wayzata girls tennis team fell to Elk River 4-3 in the consolation bracket at the state class AA tournament.
That’s after the Trojans lost 7-0 to Edina in the quarterfinal round.
Elk River swept the doubles matches and won at fourth singles to beat Wayzata.
The team portion of the state tournament wraps up Wednesday.
Singles and doubles play is Thursday and Friday in both classes.
