Maple Grove Girls Tennis Beats Wayzata in Possible Playoff Preview
The Maple Grove girls tennis team beat Wayzata 6-1 Monday in the regular season finale.
Two of the three doubles matches went three sets, with Maple Grove winning close matches.
Wayzata got its lone win at fourth singles.
It could be a preview of a Section 5AA matchup. Maple Grove is the number one seed and Wayzata number two for the section tournament.
Each team will have its first section match Wednesday in the quarterfinal round and they could be in line to meet in the finals next week.
