Wayzata Girls Soccer Blanks Hopkins 1-0
The Wayzata girls soccer team shut out Hopkins 1-0 Thursday. Abby Brantner scored on a rebound 25 minutes into the first half.
El Novak’s shot was stopped by Hopkins keeper Olivia Rivera but Brantner knocked home the loose ball for her goal.
Becca Carroll posted a shutout in goal for the Trojans (5-3-1).
Wayzata closes out the regular season next week with matches against Eden Prairie and Buffalo while Hopkins finishes at Edina next Thursday.
Section playoffs in girls soccer begin on October 14th.
