Wayzata Girls Lacrosse Beats Hopkins
The Wayzata girls lacrosse team won its second straight game to start the season, beating Hopkins 15-5 Thursday. It was the season opener for the Royals.
Wayzata scored five times in the first quarter and four more in the second to build a 9-3 halftime lead.
Shyla Sanders scored four goals for Wayzata with Ainsley Owens and Evie Marks each scoring three times.
Tori Katzenmeyer had three goals for Hopkins.
Each team is back in action Saturday. Wayzata hosts Champlin Park while Hopkins plays at St. Louis Park.
