Wayzata Girls Lacrosse Beats Armstrong in Section Tournament
The Wayzata girls’ lacrosse team broke a 2-2 tie early in the first half and went on to beat Armstrong 15-3 in the Section 5 semifinals.
Sydney Smith scored twice in the game’s first minute to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead, but it was mostly Wayzata from there.
The Trojans scored eight of the next nine goals in the half to lead 8-3 at halftime.
Julia Lindahl scored five goals, Kaitlyn Sikorski four and Ava Score 3 for the Trojans (11-4), who avenged a regular season loss to the Falcons.
Armstrong finishes the season with a record of 11-4.

Wayzata now plays top-seeded Benilde-St. Margaret’s (13-2) in the section final Wednesday at 4:30 pm at B-SM.
The Red Knights beat the Trojans 13-6 in the regular season.
