Wayzata Girls Cross-Country Wins Third Consecutive State Meet, Trojans Boys Finish Runner-Up
For a third consecutive season, the Wayzata girls cross country team took home the class AAA state title.
The Trojans were led by Maddie Gullickson (17:48, 2nd place), Lila Golomb (18:04, 5th), and Jazleen Malherek-Osorio (18:37, 10th).
The Wayzata boys team finished as the class AAA runner-up, falling six points short of Edina.
Will Weber (15:30, 4th place) and Alex Haag (15:48, 8th) led the way for the Trojans.
Several other local runners had strong finishes to their season.
