Wayzata Girls Cross Country Takes First at Lake Conference Championships
The Wayzata girls cross country team dominated the Lake Conference Championship meet at Gale Woods Farm, finishing with five runners in the top ten.
Maddie Gullickson placed first overall for the Trojans, clocking a time of 18:10.
Lila Golomb (2nd, 18:24), Miley Clark (8th, 19:15). Jazleen Malherek-Osorio (9th, 19:20), and Alyson Kleyman (10th, 19:28) all finished close behind for Wayzata.
Hopkins’ Sydney Drevlow took third overall with a time of 18:40.
Wayzata took first with 31 total points, Hopkins placed third with 84 points.
On the boys side, Wayzata took third place with 73 points and Hopkins placed 5th with 113 points.
Alex Haag (4th, 15:54) and Connor Viera (9th, 16:26) finished in the top ten for Wayzata.
Carter Hering of Hopkins took 7th overall with a time of 16:06.
