Wayzata Football Falls to Top-Ranked Eden Prairie
In a game that spanned two days, the Wayzata football team lost 39-7 to top-ranked Eden Prairie.
The Trojans (1-4) trailed the Eagles (5-0) 15-0 with eight minutes remaining in the second quarter when severe storms hit the Plymouth area Friday night.
Initially delayed for two hours, the game was instead postponed and resumed Saturday morning.
Eden Prairie outscored Wayzata 24-7 the rest of the way to secure the win.
It was the first meeting between the two teams since 2020.
