Wayzata Disappointed Boys Volleyball Voted Down
Wayzata is part of the 41 team Minnesota Boys High School Volleyball Association playing as a club sport this spring.
The guys on the team are disappointed that a Representative Assembly of the Minnesota State High School League voted down a proposal to add boys volleyball as an official sanctioned MSHSL sport.
Wayzata is one of five teams from the CCX viewing area in the Northwest Conference this season.
Getting the chance to play and practice and be recognized on par with other spring sports was something the Wayzata players had hoped would happen.
They are hopeful that boys volleyball will be sanctioned in the next year or two, but for now they’ll learn and grow in their current setup.
