Wayzata Boys Soccer Wins 6AA Championship
The Wayzata boys soccer team won the Section 6AA championship Saturday, beating Minneapolis Washburn 3-2 in the final.
The Millers led 2-1 in the first half but the Trojans tied the match on a goal by Miles Akhigbe before halftime.
Joe Highfield scored the winning goal for the Trojans (12-1-1) 10 minutes into the second half.
Brayan Fuentes scored both Washburn goals while Aidan McGoogan scored the other goal for the Trojans.
There is no state tournament this year.
