Wayzata Baseball Crushes Hopkins
The Wayzata baseball team set the tone with three runs in the first inning on the way to a 12-2 win in five innings over Hopkins.
James Hansen singled in a pair of runs in the first inning for Wayzata and was 2-for-3.
Cruz Sturm blasted a two-run homer in the second inning, and Kieran Leatherman hit a solo homerun in the fifth for the Trojans. Leatherman also had an RBI triple.
Noah Filer struck out five in five innings for the win for Wayzata.
It’s the fifth straight victory for the Trojans.
