Totino-Grace Football Beats Benilde-St. Margaret’s
The Totino-Grace football team pulled away to beat Benilde-St. Margaret’s 35-19 as the teams met for the first time since 2011.
B-SM opened the scoring on the second play from scrimmage as Nirvaan Yogarajah hit Khalif Brown on a crossing pattern and Brown outran the defense to complete an 81-yard strike.
The Eagles answered late in the first quarter as Justin Kuharski finished a drive with a three-yard run.
T-G took the lead for good in the second quarter on Jake Person’s fade pass to Tyler Wagner. It was 14-7 Totino-Grace at halftime.
They stretched the lead in the third quarter as Will Brands scored on a quarterback run, then intercepted a pass and returned it for a score to put the Eagles up 28-7.
