Totino-Grace Baseball Starts Fast, Beats Maple Grove for Third Straight Win
Three runs scored in the first inning propelled the Totino-Grace baseball team to a 4-1 win on the road at Maple Grove.
Tommy Heifort’s stand-up double in the first inning was the kickstart for the Eagles; that was followed by a Tyler Hand 2-run single.
Totino-Grace added some insurance in the top of the sixth when Brady Keane’s single drove in another run.
Kellan Westphal earned the win on the mound for TG while Joe McGeary came in to close.
The Crimson’s lone run came from an RBI single from Beckett Shimpa in the third inning.
The Eagles are now 8-2 on the season while Maple Grove drops to 4-6.
