Totino-Grace Baseball Set to Defend State Class AAA Title
The Totino-Grace baseball team won their program’s first-ever state championship last year. Now the Eagles are back in the class AAA state tournament this year.
TG had to dig out of a hole in the section playoffs. The Eagles lost their second-round game to Princeton and had to win five straight games to claim the Section 5AAA title.
Totino-Grace won with their pitching, defense, and small ball style of play, only allowing an average of two runs in their last five games played.
The Eagles earned the number two seed in the class AAA bracket and will play Hutchinson in the quarterfinal round Wednesday at the Mini Met in Jordan.
